GETTING AROUND Both Lisbon and Porto have excellent public transport systems. Uber is easily accessible, and affordable. To explore the countryside, you’ll ideally need a hire car.

CURRENCY The currency is the Euro. At the time of going to print €1:R16,78. An espresso and pasteis de nata in neighbourhood cafés costs about €2 (about R34).
