It ’ ll turn daredevils on
MOVIE REVIEW Title: Fast & Furious 6 Director: Justin Lin Cast: Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Luke Evans and John Ortiz Reviewer: Xolani M Shezi I AM a fan of Fast & Furious and its latest installment – the sixth – is no different. It’s hardcore action with dangerous stunts that turns daredevils on.
In the story, a “retired” leader of a professional criminal gang, Dominic Toretto or simply Dom (Vin Diesel), is approached by agent Luke Hobb (Dwayne Johnson) to help him capture Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), leader of warfare mercenaries and a former British Special Forces soldier.
If Dom and his crew – you ’ ve seen them in the previous films racing crazily underground on expensive cars – succeed in pinning down Shaw, they will not be prosecuted for crimes committed in their recent heist in
But that will be a mountain to climb as Shaw is aided by Dom’s ex Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez) whom the latter thought was dead. Letty is suffering from amnesia and does not remember being connected to Dom and his crew.
Though she shoots Dom without hesitation, he’s dying to “save ” her and have her back. This complicates matters. It’s a great mindless action movie with a lot of explosions and very fast cars. Definitely not for sissies. But they can tag along if they want to ogle the muscled bodies of Johnson and Diesel. Verdict: Good EXTRA TAKE Movie: 360
A brilliant movie that knits together the stories of various individuals in separate parts of the world. The movie’s subject matter is sex and sexual attraction. Starring Anthony Hopkins, Jude Law and Rachel Weisz. Verdict: Good
