A TRIP to the gym turned into a nightmare for Metro FM public relations and communications manager Happy Ngidi.

The distraught media practitioner said she was still shocked by Tuesday ’ s incident.

“I went to Constantia Kloof gym on Tuesday morning and after finishing my work-out, I walked to my car.

“While reversing, I was confronted by an angry white male. He shouted, ‘ what the f**k is your problem b***h! What is your problem? You bloody k****r.

“‘ You baboon! I will f**k you up. Who do you think you are dealing with? What the f**k are you looking at?’” Ngidi explained as she relived what had happened.

She said when the police arrived and walked with her inside the gym to identify the accused [whose name is known to Sowetan], he kept on hurling insults at her regardless of the police’s presence.

‘“Oh, you have called the police? I am so scared! What the f**k are they going to do. I have lots of money my girl. I will make all this go away, and I will make you go away! You have messed with the wrong guy! I will f**k you up! You are talking s**t! I never said k****r to you! ”’ she explained.

Ngidi said she opened a case of crimen injuria at the Honeydew police station.

Virgin Active South Africa spokesman Les Aupiais expressed shock and dismay.

He said the abusive man has since been banned from Virgin Active for life.

Honeydew police station spokesman Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs confirmed that a case of crimen injuria has been opened.

Jacobs said the docket will be forwarded to the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court for a decision. NEWLY elected Limpopo premier Stanley Mathabatha has vowed to work hard to restore the tainted image of the province.

The former ambassador to Ukraine was sworn in as premier in a ceremony held at the Lebowakgomo legislative chambers yesterday.

“It cannot be accepted that this province, which has produced outstanding revolutionaries, is dragged through the mud,” he said.

Mathabatha dissolved ousted premier Cassel Mathale’s cabinet. The former MECs occupied ordinary seats in the house during the ceremony. Mathabatha said he would announce the new members of his cabinet today.

Those unsure of their future include MEC for cooperative governance, human settlements and traditional affairs Clifford Motsepe, MEC for economic development, environmental affairs and tourism Pinkie Kekana, and treasury MEC David Masondo – all known allies of Mathale.

Mathale was forced to step down following the disbandment of the ruling party’s provincial executive committee in March.

This after party members complained that Mathale was dividing the organisation in the province.

“I will make it my primary mission to root out corruption wherever it manifests itself,” said Mathabatha shortly after he was sworn in by Judge Dunston Mlambo. –
