World War Z ’ a zombie apocalypse fan ’ s dream

CD

- Boss. Siphelele Dludla Drum-

TITLE: World War Z DIRECTOR: Marc Forster CAST: Brad Pitt, Fana Mokoena REVIEWER: Sandiso Ngubane A family is sitting in a car in traffic when a horde of zombies starts attacking Philadelphia.

Gerry Lane (played by Brad Pitt) takes his family to find refuge in an apartment complex while trying to dodge zombies coming from all directions.

They are rescued by his former boss, the deputy secretary general of the United Nations, played by local actor Fana Mokoena, who sends a helicopter to pick them up.

Then they are taken to a navy vessel where a team of scientists is analysing the scope of a worldwide zombie plague and there he reluctantly agrees to help find the source of the outbreak.

This movie was torn down by critics even before its release and was widely expected to be a box office flop, but Brad Pitt ’ s star power has proved them wrong.

If gore and the living dead are not to your liking, keep your distance.

While it won’t be lining up for any Oscar nods, World War Z is certainly going to keep you at the edge of your seat. Verdict: Fair EXTRA TAKE The Internship Vince Vaughan and Owen Wilson play two salesmen who find themselves out of work.

Vaughan ’ s character, Billy, comes up with a bright idea that he and Nick (played by Wilson) should become interns for Google, the “world ’ s best place to work”.

Neither has the necessary skills, but both manage to charm their way through the summer internship in a movie that comes across as a very lengthy advert for search engine Google. Verdict: Poor HEAVY – K: DRUMBOSS Heavy K has rocked the house and DJ scene with a new album,

Dropping his 2013 CD under the stewardship of Kalawa Jazzmee, this producer and club DJ does not disappoint. – Verdict: Excellent
