HIP HOP artist Zuluboy has joined the cast of Genera

A highly placed source within the SABC confirmed that the artist, real name Mxolisi Majozi, started shooting with the soapie’s cast a few weeks ago.

“I have seen him having his make-up done several times at the make-up room and this was not the first time I saw him on set,” the source said.

Another source said Majozi had been raving about how good the year had been for him so far and that he will be doing great things.

Generations publicist Nyagunda Ngwenya confirmed that Majozi had started shooting for the soapie and promised to send through his character’s biography and confirmation of the 37-yearold’s debut on the soapie.

But Ngwenya later tried to deny that Majozi had joined the popular show.

“I spoke to the head writer and she knows nothing about Zuluboy joining the show. Where did you hear it?”

Majozi’s episodes are set to air in the first quarter of the year.

Majozi is no newcomer to the world of acting as he first appeared on our television screens as Zakes in the SABC1 drama series Soul

City in 2009. He later had acting stints in the sci-fi drama Room 9. He is currently the presenter of music

quiz show Fan Base.

Sowetan could not reach the rapper for comment despite calling his six cellphone numbers.

Last year Majozi paid lobolo for his fiancee Andiswa Gebashe.

The couple plan to marry later this year.
