Govt is no better than Bafana

IN THE wake of Bafana’s 3-1 defeat by Nigeria, Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula reacted by spitting fire.

Mbalula was quoted as having said: “Last night we saw a bunch of losers – unbearable useless individuals.”

While I agree with Mbalula that Bafana’s performance was nothing to be proud of, I would like to draw similarities between his remarks and the remarks of the general public as far as service delivery is concerned.

Mbalula is angry at Bafana and the public is angry with the government.

As a disgruntled member of the public who has always been a victim of shoddy service delivery, I urge the government to also go back to the drawing board and put an end to nepotism, wasteful expenditure, corruption, unemployment, crime and make sure that someone accounts for what happened in the shameful Nkandla upgrade.
