MBUYANE SET TO LEAVE PIRATES
THULASIZWE Mbuyane looks set to quit Orlando Pirates for Mpumalanga Black Aces, while Polokwane City have signed midfielders Jabulani Maluleke and Sandile Sibande to bolster their team.
Mbuyane, who is not happy with the lack of game time at the Buccaneers, has asked Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza to release him from his contract.
An announcement is expected before the end of the week.
“The chairman promised to discuss the matter with coach Roger de Sa first,” said a source close to the Mamelodibased attacking midfielder.
City yesterday signed sixmonth loan deals each for Maluleke from SuperSport United and Sibande from Bidvest Wits.
The duo are expected to feature for Rise and Shine in a friendly against University of Pretoria at Tuks Stadium tomorrow – a fixture used by the two clubs to keep their players in shape.
City coach Boebie “Mzala” Solomons is excited with the arrival of the two players, but was quick to point out there were also other players that they are negotiating with with a view to luring them to Polokwane.
“Our chairman Johnny Mogaladi is handling that department. We want to assemble a team that will make the people of Limpopo and our supporters in general proud to be associated with,” said Solomons, whose club resume their league campaign against Platinum Stars in Polokwane on February 4.
Ghanaian midfielder John Arwuah has joined AmaZulu on a three-anda-half-year deal from Bloemfontein Celtic.
Arwuah could make his debut when Usuthu welcome Pirates to Moses Mabhida Stadium in an Absa Premiership match tomorrow.
Meanwhile, National First Division outfit FC Cape Town have signed Prince Nxumalo, Chris Manoka and Andile Khumalo.
“We are delighted with the arrival of the three youngsters, ” said coach Duncan Lechesa yesterday.
