But by the time she got to high school “people told me that my freckles were unique ”.

“’I ve grown to be very comfortabl­e with my freckles and my curves. But I think we all have to go through those times, where you fight with yourself and get to accept yourself. If it wasn ’ t for that, I wouldn ’ t have the thick skin I have now.”

Even in the face of tragedy, like the passing of her father in 2012 when his minibus tragically fell on him while he was busy fixing it, she still remains positive.

Ravele has also grown comfortabl­e with talking about her relationsh­ip with her actor partner Sipho “Psyfo ” Ngwenya. The two have been dating for a decade now and were on Yo-TV together.

Last year, she created a buzz when she posted on Instagram that she was single, but she only did that because she was part of a campaign opposing women abuse.

Ravele is a role-model for girls, hence she gets invited to various schools to talk to young people.

But she recently declined an invitation from a school to speak about being famous as she feels a lot of young people are obsessed with fame. Hence she wants to inspire them with a talkshow that she is currently working on. “It ’ s going to be

She wants to inspire people to be the best they can be by featuring different guests on the show who might not be famous but are doing extraordin­ary things in their lives and communitie­s. “

“I love my family, we ’ re very close. I like that they ’ ve never given me any special treatment.

“Even when I was still on YoTV my mom would treat me as a child, not allowing me to pay for things myself even though I was already getting paid.”

She saved her salary growing up to buy her first car, a VW Polo, which she still drives after nine years.

And for the future Ravele pledges to use her talent to people. “I want to live my purpose.”
