On the state of healthcare A 55-YEAR-OLD asthmatic patient died after a 15-hour wait for treatment. He was first taken to Baragwanath Hospital but was not admitted because of renovations. He then went to Bheki Mlangeni Hospital where, because of further delays, he died. What happened to screening and prioritising seriously ill patients to save lives?
