Recent attacks on DA
PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma’s recent electioneering remarks have been particularly scathing towards the DA, often denouncing it in a racially charged manner.
At the Market Theatre in Johannesburg: “You would think the DA is a wonderful organisation, it is the only one of all the opposition which has the people who oppressed us. They still sit in parliament today.
“If you are a black person‚ you join that party really? Really? It’s worse when you lead it.”
In Tembisa on Wednesday, Zuma said: “Where does a black person get the courage to go out and vote for oppressors?
“You see, when you look at this thing called the DA, it’s an annoyance, you must not love it. People were strangled and killed fighting for freedom, remember them when you vote. ”–
