Cassper and DJ Vigilante unite

-

THERE was a time‚ a year and a bit ago‚ when the thought of DJ Vigilante and Cassper Nyovest making music together seemed less likely than your chances of winning the Lotto. A feud between the two erupted in 2014 after an MTV Base Hottest MCs list discussion in which DJ Vigilante seemed to throw shade at Cassper‚ saying that his music was all over the place and he was still growing up. Cassper, ranked at number two on that list, vented his frustration over not being named number one through a diss track‚ Beef. Cassper opened the track with a shot at DJ Vigilante before playing a sample of DJ Vigilante and others who criticised his album. But fast forward to 2016 and the unlikely pair have announced that they have teamed up on an upcoming collaboration. Cassper posted a picture of the two of them in studio on his Twitter account and promised fans a hit. He also shared a snippet of what to expect from the collaboration. Cassper has largely stayed away from any kind of beef with fellow rappers and artists since he filled up the Ticket Pro Dome in Johannesburg last year. In June he told Jacaranda FM that he has found a new sense of peace and was no longer interested in getting into public feuds. “I just asked myself: ‘Why am I fighting with rappers?’” said Cassper. “There are so many people who have done great things in this world and they will be remembered forever for the good they’ve done ... they inspire me and I don’t look up to rappers.”
