DONALD PACKS MUSIC AND FASHION TREAT FOR FANS

- Lesley Mofokeng

THE stage is set for tonight’s eagerly-anticipated Red Mic Xperience recording, where singer Donald will treat his fans to one night of singing, dance and fashion as he records his DVD.

Speaking yesterday from the venue, Carnival City in Brakpan, east of Johannesburg, Donald said he had a few surprises up his sleeve.

“People must expect a show they have never seen from a South African artist. I plan to change the game. I’m working with the best production team in South Africa. Robin Kohl is the producer and everything will be spectacular. There is no space for mediocrity. It’s international standard all the way.”

He said he would be singing all the hits that made his career.

Designer Paledi Segapo of Palse will be responsible for Donald’s different looks.

He said he would be moving away from the black and white style Donald has been championing of late.

“The fashion this time around is heavily influenced by what’s unfolding in the streets. People can look forward to seeing relatable clothes and distinct street style.

“I’ve incorporated the dancers to directly link with Donald’s show apparel. I’m very satisfied with what we’ve achieved.”

Donald will be supported by Riky Rick, Busiswa, Naak Musiq and DJ Shimza. “It’s been a long time coming and I’m certain this is the perfect time for the show. I’ve evolved so much as an artist throughout my career. I’ve come full circle and now we’re turning into a new chapter I’d like to call RMX,” Donald said.
