Dinamo confirmed on their official website yesterday that the 27-year-old has joined on a three-year deal after passing a medical this week.
Mahlangu, pictured, had been without a club since the expiry of his contract with Belgian side SintTruiden at the end of last season. He scored two goals in 18 appearances for Sint-Truiden before he was let go.
The move to Romania comes after Mahlangu reportedly turned down a move to German second division side Dynamo Dresden and Kaizer Chiefs in recent months.
Dinamo becomes Mahlangu’s sixth European club in nine years. Swedish side Helsingborgs IF was his first club back in 2008 and he has since played for two other clubs in the Scandinavian nation, IFK Hasslehom and IFK Goteborg.
He also featured for Turkish side Konyaspor before his move to Sint-Truiden.
After securing the move, the Secunda-born playmaker will be hoping to fight his way back into the Bafana team, especially with the 2018 World Cup qualifiers starting next month.
