Maps seals it with a kiss
Maps Maponyane and Nomzamo Mbatha got tongues wagging with their public display of affection on Monday night.
The scene was the Cruz Vodka SA Fashion Week Official Opening Party at the Hyde Park Mall in Hyde Park, Johannesburg where the two lovebirds were spotted locked in a passionate smooch.
They were a magical picture of elegance and young love. He was dashing in a blue Ephymol shweshwe suit and she looked angelic in a white Rubicon gown with flower detail.
The adorable couple didn’t seem bothered as they had eyes only for each other and went in for a wet one oblivious to the goings-on.
They have notoriously been tight-lipped about the nature of their friendship, but speculation has been rife, fuelled by episodes where Maponyane recently surprised Mbatha with a stunning bouquet of flowers when she hosted a show at Power FM during Women’s Month and they have been spotted at different events as travelling partners. Radio and television star Lerato Kganyago spotted a rock on her left hand and fuelled rumours when she jokingly said it was her wedding band from her suspected Russian millionaire husband. She later denied the link. Bontle Modiselle stopped the traffic in a revealing black JJ Schoeman sheer gown exposing that she went panty-less. Celebrities were paired with fashion designers in stylish collaborations. Crooner Donald was dressed by his longtime designer Palse; Generations: The Legacy actress Thuli Phongolo in Atelier Dajee; television personality Boity Thulo was dressed in a flowing gown by Keys Fashion; The Queen actress Natasha Thahane was dressed by Touch of Bling.
