Charismatic boxing prospect Jarred “My Hollywood” Silverman has promised fight fans a combustible performance in his comeback fight against Vusi Bilankulu at Presley’s Night Club in Boksburg tonight.

The junior welterweight fight will form part of Unleashed Combat Sport Events’ development tournament.

I am a testimony of God’s power and blessing. Jarred Silverman PROFESSIONAL BOXER

Silverman came back from the brink of death after being critically injured following a shooting incident at a musical festival in Alberton in 2014.

The boxer, who at that time was trained by Nick Durandt, says the greatest glory is not in falling but rising every time people fall.

“I am a true testimony of God’s power and blessing, so come show your support. It is gonna be war,” vowed Silverman whose corner will be manned by former light heavyweight professional boxer Lionel Hunter.

Silverman last fought in 2014 when he outpointed Andile Mntungwa over eight rounds in Durban.

Bilankulu, meanwhile, has an uninspiring CV which reads three wins against eight losses.

Another comeback kid, Jason Bedeman, will be up against tough competitor Gift Bholo. Bedeman last fought in June last year when he was defeated by Sacky Shikukutu from Namibia for the interim WBO Africa welterweight belt.

There will be five more fights and action will begin at 7pm.
