Safa also to blame for Bafana’s woes

-

I have been watching Bafana Bafana games and must say they play very well, the only problem is that they are failing to finish opponents.

For instance, in their game against Cape Verde they missed some clear-cut chances. So, how is that a coach’s fault?

Before we point fingers at the coach, I think we have to start with the SA Football Association (Safa).

It’s about time that Safa do an introspection. They can’t always do this when a coach is not doing well. Safa must shoulder some of the blame.

I have watched Safa changing coaches when there is nothing wrong with the mentor’s tactics.

It can’t be that all five previous coaches are bad tacticians. There is surely something wrong with Safa.

All the coaches that Safa hire are bound to fail if the problems within the organisation are not solved.

Safa should answer these questions:

● Why our coaches don’t perform?

● Are we in any way contributing to

Bafana’s poor results?

● What can we do to make Bafana a better team?

● Do we give the coach our full support?

● How do we solve problems faced by the coach and team?

● How can we make South Africans proud of their team?

I believe answers to the above would change our national team’s fortunes.

It pains me to watch our national team with so few fans in the stadium. Thebe Kgwetiane
