Leopards purr back to their lair in Thohoyando­u after PSL all-clear

Minor upgrades for Venda venue get a thumps up

The Premier Soccer League [PSL] has approved the use of Thohoyando­u Stadium.

This means that Black Leopards will from now on play their home games at this venue.

Lidoda Duvha have so far used Peter Mokaba Stadium, where they beat Polokwane City 1-0 in their first home match and lost 2-1 to Orlando Pirates during midweek.

PSL chief operations officer Ronnie Schloss had until now declined to approve Thohoyando­u Stadium, which underwent minor upgrades.

Leopards, however, have now confirmed that their home matches will now be

‘‘ All our home fixtures, and cup tourneys, will be played at the stadium

played there after it met all the requiremen­ts.

“Please take note that the rest of our home fixtures including cup competitio­ns will all be played at Thohoyando­u Stadium,” Leopards said on Twitter on Wednesday.

They lost for the first time this season when Orlando Pirates stunned them 2-1 at Peter Mokaba on Tuesday.

The Limpopo side host Bloemfonte­in Celtic in their next match on September 16.

Thohoyando­u Stadium needed improving on the state of the pitch‚ ablution facilities‚ technical benches‚ turnstiles‚ pavement around the stadium‚ the hospitalit­y and media areas.
