Constitution for the elite

Our constitution is said to be the best in the world, but no other country is willing to copy it. Second, the parties that negotiated it had no mandate from the African majority. There should have been a referendum before these parties engaged with the apartheid government. Hence, this constitution only serves the interest of beneficiaries of the past and the elites represented by the liberation movements. There should also be a referendum as we cannot be dictated to by a judiciary system that is a legacy of the past. Its judges sentenced people to their deaths but did not appear before the truth commission. – Obed Sithole
