Toyota leads the way

Toyota South Africa Motors (TSAM) has dominated the 2017 Ipsos Vehicle Quality Awards, garnering 13 gold awards. With its extensive model range, Toyota has come out on top in terms of number of gold awards won in the latest vehicle quality survey conducted in SA by Ipsos, the international market research company. TSAM has bettered its 2016 performance in the latest Ipsos Vehicle Quality Awards. The survey was conducted throughout South Africa in 2017, involving survey feedback from 7,000 owners of vehicles from 16 brands. Toyota’s 13 gold awards — seven for passenger cars and six for LCVs — are from 16 categories. Calvyn Hamman, senior vice-president of sales and marketing, says: “This stamp of approval is a reflection of our ongoing pursuit to put smiles on Toyota customers faces and proof to our dealers, sales teams as well as colleagues at the Prospecton plant that their diligence doesn’t go unnoticed. “We are not only proud of the customers, but also proud of all the Toyota employees behind our brand.” Patrick Busschau, Ipsos automotive director commented: “Participating brands are to be commended for continued focus on delivering better products to customers. It is no coincidence that delivering an exceptional product has a direct impact on these manufacturers’ commercial successes as well. “Gold Awards winners in particular are to be congratulated for their consistent efforts in ensuring that South African motorists have world-class products and are getting the value they have paid for.”
