Taking out the garbage seems to be a menial task, it’s what you choose to do with it that will make you different. This is one of the many quotes former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi has posted on his website, which spells out his business ethos.

He details his life and what has kept him successful. “I lead a full life as an avid reader and follower of business events internationally. I believe that we are well-positioned to provide Africa with tried and tested solutions, benchmarking against the best in the world. Seeking solutions to global problems has always mobilised my day,” he says on his website. His company is called Angelo Agrizzi Inc. Agrizzi details his business experience, which includes his time at Bosasa, which he says was “led by forerunners in the empowerment of women, yet constricted by a lack of fundamental principle required to make it successful”. He says he played a role in growing Bosasa from a company with a few contracts and 455 employees in 1998, to a “formidable icon” employing 4,750 workers in 2014. Last week, Agrizzi presented chilling evidence at the state capture inquiry, revealing how the company stored millions of rand in a vault to bribe state officials. The Sunday Times yesterday reported Agrizzi is this week expected give more evidence on gifts sent to former SAA chair Dudu Myeni and minister of environmental affairs Nomvula Mokonyane.
