* Daniel Akpeyi is likely to be the first choice in goal for Kaizer Chiefs tomorrow in the derby against Orlando Pirates despite recent errors that thrust former first choice Itumeleng Khune back into the spotlight. Coach Ernst Middendorp is expected to keep the Nigerian as his first choice because of Khune’s lack of recent game time.

* Midfielders Ben Motshwari, who has an ankle injury, Abel Mabaso (hamstring) and Nkanyiso Zungu, who is yet to make his debut since joining from Stellenbosch FC last month, are all doubtful for tomorrow’s clash against Chiefs at Soccer City. Zungu has a groin injury.

* Arsenal are ready to try and relaunch contract negotiations with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who put talks on hold last year because he was frustrated at the club and desperate to play in the Champions League. Arsenal are keen to try and keep Aubameyang, but also need to discover his intentions as he will only have one year left on his current contract at the end of the season. They will then have to make a big decision on whether to sell their top scorer or allow him to run down his deal and leave on a free transfer in 2021.

* Chelsea midfielder Willian has admitted he could leave the club at the end of the season as talks continue to stall over a new deal. The Blues have offered the 31-year-old a two-year extension, but Willian is said to be holding out for three more years.
