Racing bonanza for SA punters

Remember, hold on to your paper until Monday

- By Racing Editor

Newspapers are by design not meant to last too long. There is after all usually a new one every day.

But pundits are advised to take good care of their paper today, as there is no newspaper on Monday due to Women’s Day stretching over two days this year.

This newspaper thus contains the racing fields for the weekend’s local race meetings as well as Monday’s meeting. So, handle it with care, because it has to last until at least Monday.

Today’s racing is at Fairview in Port Elizabeth where nine races are carded for the Turf Track, followed tomorrow by action from Turffontein’s Standside Track.

Sunday’s meeting is at Hollywoodbets Greyville, where racing will be on the turf track. Monday the action is back in Joburg, but this time round it will be on the Inside track. Tomorrow South Africans can also enjoy a bumper 14-race meeting in Singapore. All these races will be broadcast live on Tellytrack on channel 239 and TAB will offer a full betting bouquet on the local as well as the Singapore race meeting. Punters must also note that a number of TAB and Betting World branches have re-opened. A complete list of all the open shops can be found online at tabonline.co.za. More good news is that the printed version of the ComputaForm Express will also be available for sale at most of the open TAB and Betting World shops. The free, online edition, as well as the free, online editions of ComputaForm for every race meeting, will also still be available for free download at tabonline. co.za. Due to the lack of space in today’s newspaper due to all the racing fields being published, punters are advised to visit tabonline.co.za for all the meeting previews – local and international. The website also publishes a number of racing stories from across the globe, giving the racing fraternity insight into the goings-on within the sport in other parts of the world.
