Makhubo a man without morals

I once thought Tshwane DA mayors Solly Msimanga and Stevens Mokgalapa were worse than clueless affirmative action appointees to be of any use to residents until I collided, via the justice Raymond Zondo commission on state capture, with a veritable nutcase in Geoff Makhubo.

A man akin to a worm ...without ethics or conscience or shame. The poor City of Johannesburg residents are burdened with a cadre, wearing a mayoral cloak of dignity, who knows only one thing: to divert the public fiscus into his personal bank accounts and millions to the ANC and shamelessly call it “growing democracy.”

Now that the Gauteng ANC provincial executive has finally woken up to the realisation that they have been protecting a fake, what are they going to do regarding the millions of rand illegally diverted to his own bank accounts? Will they even ask him to return every cent and interest? Second, to what extent will they attach any credence to their integrity commission, which could not even smell the stench of the EOH and Regiments loot from Gauteng fiscus that ended in Makhubo’s and ANC bank accounts? The sleepy ANC integrity commission was only woken up by the excellent and diligent work of the Zondo commission. Makhubo, no doubt, is the worst of the lot given the testimony to Zondo. But he was not alone as the recipient of venality as another comrade was also, once again, fingered: deputy minister of state securit, Zizi Kodwa.
