Manchester City can secure the English Premier League title tomorrow, when the championship race in Spain can take a decisive turn too.

It’s an exciting weekend of football, especially for TAB soccer punters with three carryovers, including a likely R2-million Soccer 10 pool, promising some tasty dividends.

City need only three more points from their remaining four league games to regain the title they lost to Liverpool last season.

They host Chelsea tomorrow in a match that is now a dress rehearsal for the Champions League final. It will be important for both to stake a psychological peg in the ground ahead of that 29 May date in Istanbul.

Chelsea put one over Pep Guardiola’s outfit just weeks ago in the FA Cup semi-finals and the Thomas Tuchel revolution means tomorrow’s outcome is in the balance.

But if Chelsea lose, it will open the door for West Ham to return to fourth place and keep up their hopes of Champions League football next season. To do so, they must beat Everton at home on Sunday.

Barcelona host Atletico Madrid tomorrow and victory will see them topple Diego Simeone’s team from the top of La Liga. It is a second chance for Barca to put themselves ahead in the title race after they fluffed their lines against Granada.

But Barcelona’s fate is linked to what Real Madrid do in their last matches of the campaign.

Real play on Sunday against fourth-placed Sevilla and if they win, will advance to 74 points, which will tie them with Barca assuming the Catalans win tomorrow.

Barcelona have the superior goal difference, but in Spain a points deadlock is first decided on headto-head results.

Real won both home and away against Barca this season, so if both teams win their remaining four games “Los Blancos” will retain their La Liga crown.
