● Cole Alexander might have played his last game for Chiefs after picking up a suspension for the club’s final match at home to Swallows tomorrow. The midfielder is expected to be among those who will leave at the end of the season.

● Swallows coach Dylan Kerr is no stranger to last-day drama and for the fourth season in a row faces a tricky opponent in the final round of league matches. He has never lost on the last day and on two of those previous three occasions got vital points to keep his sides in the DStv Premiership. He will be hoping for a repeat because Swallows are currently in the relegation play-off position and need a victory over Chiefs to stand a chance of moving past TS Galaxy above them.

● Stellenbosch will not renew the contracts of Stanley Dimgba, Robyn Johannes, Granwald Scott, Nathan Sinkala and Marc van Heerden. All but Sinkala could still play tomorrow against Cape Town City.

● Manchester United could sign Antony, Jurrien Timber and Lisandro Martinez from Ajax Amsterdam, while Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt are also targets. But United might be beaten to Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips by Manchester City who need a replacement for Fernandinho.

● After spending about 85-million Pounds in January to bring in Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, Dan Burn and Bruno Guimaraes, as well as loan signing Matt Targett, Newcastle United have warned fans not to expect a major splurge in the upcoming transfer window. “With financial fair play, we have restraints, and we have things that we have to work within, so we can’t just go out and spend money on players like maybe teams could have done in the past and totally change their squad within one transfer window,” said manager Eddie Howe.
