SA too soft on racism

In other African countries, Belinda Magor would have been declared persona non grata for her remarks that black men should be ‘banned’ and black women’s reproductive organs removed. Our country is very soft on racism. H Mulaudzi –

We all have rights

Our leaders must lead by example. You can’t pick and choose where our constitution should work or not. Standing in the streets with placards in the name of democracy while denying someone their right is wrong. N Skosana –

Opposition parties are weak

We have very weak and ineffective opposition parties. When these parties make public statements, it is about the governing ANC and not about what they can do for us as the people who voted them into power. Anonymous –

Azapo playing to the gallery

Azapo picketing at Belinda Magor’s residence is uncalled for. It is grandstanding. Children and women live in fear as they are raped every day in this country but Azapo doesn’t picket at the residences of perpetrators. They are doing this because Magor is white. Her words that black men must be “banned” because they are rapists are wrong but Azapo does not have a right to picket at her residence. They should go and picket when she appears in court. – Bvenula Phangani
