Cape Town City coach Eric Tinkler, who has preferred a three-man centre back pairing this season, must reshuffle his plans for Sunday’s away clash at Polokwane City because Keanu Cupido begins a two-match ban for a red card in their last encounter against AmaZulu. Cupido had been ever present for the club this season and emerged as one of the best centre-backs in the DStv Premiership.

Manchester United winger Antony has posted an update on his recovery ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City. The Brazilian missed the Red Devils’ match against Bournemouth last Saturday through injury, adding to manager Erik ten Hag’s problems ahead of facing the Sky Blues at Wembley on Sunday. The nature of his injury has not been confirmed, but it is thought he was forced to pull out of the final training session before the match against Bournemouth. Antony later posted an update on Instagram, showing him rehabilitating in an ice bath.

Lazio have injury woes ahead of tonight’s Serie A clash at Genoa with Ciro Immobile (knee), Mattia Zaccagni (ankle), Luca Pellegrini (ankle), Matteo Guendouzi (shin), Alessio Romagnoli (shin) and Ivan Provedel are not expected to play as the visitors target their eighth away win of the season.

Keegan Johannes will play no further part in this season’s DStv Premiership campaign after undergoing ankle surgery. The 23-year-old SuperSport United defender was hurt playing against AmaZulu in early March and has since gone under the knife, ruling him for the final six weeks of the campaign.

Chelsea have struggled with injuries all season, but should get some relief as key players return to fitness. Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill all look set to return for the FA Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City tomorrow and the club is riding high after a comprehensive 6-0 destruction of Everton on Monday.
