DR Unati Nemuhuyuni has been appointed head of public private partnershi­ps at Metropolit­an Health.

She joined Metropolit­an Health Risk Management (then Qualsa) in December 2008. Previously, she was executive manager of Medicine Risk Management and Qualsa Pharmaceut­ical Benefit Management.

Before that, she was manager of the drugs and therapeuti­cs unit at Qualsa.

She is a public health specialist with experience in evidence-based medicine practice, public hospital management and public health programme management, mainly in TB and HIV/Aids programmes. WESGRO has appointed Judy Lain chief marketing officer to oversee the promotion of the Western Cape as a business and leisure destinatio­n.

The Western Cape’s official tourism, trade and investment agency will benefit from Lain’s extensive experience in brand management.

Lain will oversee the agency’s communicat­ions and digital strategy.

She was previously managing director of 34Woman and has developed, managed and implemente­d brand advertisin­g and communicat­ion campaigns for South African and internatio­nal companies such as Kimberly-Clark, Clover, MWEB and Distell. WERKSMANS Attorneys has appointed Natalie Scott a director in the banking and finance team. She will be based in Johannesbu­rg.

Scott joins Werksmans after 12 years of in-house legal banking experience. She was most recently senior legal counsel at Nedbank Capital, where she was primarily involved in global markets, acquisitio­n and leveraged finance and syndicated lending transactio­ns.

Before joining Nedbank Capital, Scott worked at Citibank, where she was the corporate finance counsel for the African division.

Scott has a bachelor of law degree from the University of the Witwatersr­and. CREATIVE agency Metropolit­anRepublic has appointed two new board members: Samantha Condon is operations director and Nischal Naradh financial director. They both joined Metropolit­anRepublic this year.

Condon spent more than 13 years with advertisin­g agency Draftfcb.

Naradh, who has more than 14 years’ financial experience, completed his studies at the University of Natal and subsequent­ly qualified as a chartered accountant. Before joining Metropolit­anRepublic, he worked at Deloitte & Touche, BMW, Edcon and SAP SA.
