t Wits Business School, Executive Education delivers general management programmes, as well as focused skills programming for advancing and senior executives. Beyond this, WBS has a Leadership Development Centre that specialises in preparing and coaching delegates for the various professional challenges of leading a department or an entire enterprise.

An example of general management certificate is our 20-day “Management Advancement Programme” ( MAP), which has been a high-status badge in the South African employment marketplace for more than 25 years. A MAP comprises courses in economics, finance, marketing, organisational dynamics, strategy, operations, and so on, and is provided to middle-managers looking to advance and balance their skills.

WBS also offers a New Managers Programme ( NMP) that offers a similar spectrum of courses, but at a level more suitable for technical or specialist staff taking their first steps into management.

At the same time, WBS Executive Education offers short courses of between three and 15 days, where delegates (or their employers) can choose the specific topic area they would like to upgrade their skills in. For example we offer courses in project management or finance and accounting or negotiation or marketing management.

WBS Executive Education also offers international programmes, allowing South African delegates a structured and reasonably affordable way to experience the best of international business school education and visits to international companies. Our flagship programme in this area is the International Executive Development Programme (IEDP) which this year includes a week at London Business School and business study tour immersion in Dubai and Shanghai.
