The last series ended when the firm agreed to merge with another law firm. In terms of personal relationsh­ips, Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike (Patrick J Adams) have made up and the issue of Mike’s fake credential­s has been dealt with.

WE (M-Net Movies Premiere, Channel 103, Friday, 20:30)

This interestin­g film was written and directed by Madonna. It has two storylines. In present-day New York, Wally (Abbie Cornish) becomes fascinated with the love story of divorced commoner Wallis Simpson (Andrea Riseboroug­h) and Prince Edward (James D’Arcy). The film moves from the actual scandal, almost 80 years ago, to the impact it has on Wally in the present day.

Million Dollar Intern (BBC Knowledge, Channel 184, Today, 20:00)

Based on Donald Trump’s series The Apprentice, this BBC show features a new generation of young entreprene­urs, who are placed at the bottom rung of various businesses that are failing to reach their potential. Initially, the young team do menial tasks for a week, which allows them to see where the faults occur. When they reveal their credential­s, they point out the weak spots in the company.

The Girl with 90% Burns (BBC Knowledge, Channel 184, Tuesday, 21:00)

This documentar­y tells the story of Terri Calvesbert, who was 22 months old when her mother accidental­ly left a burning cigarette in her room. Terri was left with 90% burns on her body. The story of how the girl — now a teenager — survived makes for fascinatin­g viewing.

Salem: Unmasking the Devil (BBC Lifestyle, Channel 174, Today, 20:00 )

One of the darkest events in US history is the Salem witch trials of 1696. Two young girls, the daughter and niece of a Puritan minister, started to display strange behaviour and were assumed to be possessed by Satan. The community was terrified and branded a group of teenage girls as witches.

Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang (M-Net Movies Action, Channel 110, Friday, 20:00)

This off-beat thriller stars Robert Downey jnr as Harry Lockhart, a small-time thief who winds up in Los Angeles. He falls under the tutelage of Perry van Shrike, played by Val Kilmer, a private detective. They are the proverbial “odd couple”, but it has a quirky, off-beat style and Downey’s witty performanc­e gives the film an edgy charm.
