BRAND South Africa has appointed Wendy Tlou director: strategic marketing and communication.
She has more than 20 years’ experience, most recently at the Ekurhuleni Metro Municipality as head of communications and brand management. She has also worked at the Reserve Bank, managed SA Tourism’s global communications, and was the managing director at The Communications Firm. INFORMATION and communications technology service provider Huawei has appointed Wilson Liu CEO of Huawei South Africa. Liu will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day business operations and will drive a market development strategy for South Africa’s market.
Liu joined Huawei in 2000 and has held various senior management positions within the company, including that of CEO for Huawei Oman and Huawei United Arab Emirates. CRAIG St John Ayre has been appointed commercial executive: business intelligence at Adcock Ingram.
Before joining Adcock Ingram, St John Ayre was the founder and managing director of The Business Practice, an analytical consultancy for the healthcare industry. He has more than 10 years’ experience in senior positions in business intelligence and marketing positions at several multinational pharmaceutical companies, including Glaxo Wellcome, Pfizer and AstraZeneca. WESTCON Group, a division of Datatec Group, has appointed Jens Montanana chairman. He will succeed John McCartney.
Montanana has been Datatec Group CEO.
McCartney has been involved in the company’s evolution and growth during his 10-year tenure at the helm of the Westcon board. He will remain a nonexecutive director of the company and of Datatec Group, as well as chairman of Datatec’s remuneration committee.
