KAIZER Chiefs appear to have added another dimension to their empire. Over and above their Hollard funeral plan policies, chewing gum and chakalaka range, Chiefs have expanded into producing branded irons. Frustrated fans will hope the iron will straighten out the creases in Kingston Nkatha’s shooting. Nkatha will be hoping for a boo-silencing device as the next Amakhosi innovation.

With Bekkersdal burning and Khutsong in kamikaze mode, the premier found time in her busy schedule to grace a squad-naming in all her pink glory. Politicians and priorities! Let them eat football. With all the speeches, the presser seemed to last nearly as long as Bafana’s decade-old slump.
WHEN Safa emailed the latest Bafana squad selection to the media, it trumpeted the news as follows: “Igesund names balanced squad for Spain friendly”. Heh? However balanced Gordon feels his squad is, it’s not a wise idea to pre-empt the fourth estate on these matters. It’s a bit like a chef reviewing his own meal.
