Leon Lombard & Magiel Pieterse Leon Magiel Interiors

Founded in 1996, Leon Magiel Interiors (LMI) specialises in interior designs for high-end residences, hotels and corporate properties. “Our philosophy is simple,” says Leon, “design for the market. No specific ‘style’ or ‘look’ is attributed to the firm. Instead, LMI creates custom interiors for each client by conducting extensive research to fulfil each owner and operator’s unique vision. Each project is brought to life through the incorporation of architectural details and decor items.”

Leon and Magiel, along with their team of Mariana Melck, Debra Makola and Jane Songo, design and manufacture their own pieces and have an in-house curtain factory so that they can provide a complete turnkey service.

“Our blend of experience, innovation, technology, sustainability and solid business principles enables us to create properties that are the definition of luxury and elegance and deliver an unforgettable experience,” says Leon. “Inspiration can also come from the most ordinary moments. All that is required is an open mind and the willingness to entertain unorthodox ideas.”
