ICH BIN EIN HAMBURGER
My husband and I are looking for a hotel in central Hamburg for 11 nights in July 2014. We want a reasonably sized room with an en-suite bathroom and plenty of light. Our budget is R25 000 for accommodation and breakfast. When choosing a hotel, it often helps to decide whether you want a chain hotel, where standards are uniform, or a family-run hotel with local character. To ensure your needs are met, a major hotel group would probably be best. I found some good offers on booking.com for your dates. Prices include 7% VAT and city tax, but add from R250-R350 per person for breakfast.
One of the best deals is at the four-star Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg, where a double is available for R1 609. This modern hotel is in the heart of Hamburg, within walking distance of elegant shopping centres in Jungfernstieg, cultural attractions and the Alster Lake. For five-star comfort, try the Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall, where double rooms are discounted to R2 220 per night. Another good choice would be the four-star Renaissance Hamburg Hotel, where a deluxe double room is R1 998. A standard double room at the four-star Mövenpick Hotel Hamburg is available from R1 935. If you don’t mind being a little out of the city centre, the four-star Holiday Inn Hamburg has doubles for R1 207 per night. food and beverages, rest areas and showers. The cost is around à35 per person ( primeclass.com.tr). Alternatively, the TAV Airport Hotel has comfortable rooms for transit passengers, with rates from à95 for up to three hours in a single room to à220 for up to 24 hours in a double room ( tavairporthotel.com).
