GORI TERE PYAR MEIN (8/10)

NESTLED beautifully between box-office moneyspinners Krrish 3 and Ram-Leela is the cute gem, Gori Tere Pyar Mein.

Punit Malhotra made his successful directorial debut with I Hate Luv Stories, which was produced by the dynamic Karan Johar and featured Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles.

Malhotra again teams up with Johar, Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan to produce a magical romantic comedy.

It is about a lazy and aimless guy named Sriram (Imran Khan), an architecture student who falls in love with a firecracker social activist named Dia (Kareena Kapoor).

When they clash in terms of social values, Dia takes on a challenge and heads off to the villages with Sriram in hot pursuit.

Malhotra and Johar have delivered a sweet and fresh film that works as they combine all the necessary elements for good movie entertainment.

The first half is an amazing, stylish journey with a lovely South Indian feel. The movie takes a complete detour after intermission, but it remains charming. The likeable stars with their hot looks, stunning smiles and good values are beautifully presented.

Khan and Kapoor Khan are an absolute delight in their second venture following the success of Ek Mein Aur Ek Tu. Even the music adds to the magic with some peppy tracks such as Tooh and Chingam Chabake, which are sure to put you in a dancing mood.

Irrespective of the boxoffice fate of this movie, it is good family entertainment with strong candy-floss romance that is brought to life by the two lead stars, a competent director and perhaps one of the best producers in the world.
