AYUSHMANN Khurrana is definitely a rising movie star after his impressive debut movie, Vicky Donor.
The former television star kept up the pace with his second hit, Nautanki Saala, last year.
He now returns with Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor in a movie produced by Aditya Chopra and directed Nupur Asthana.
Set during the hardhitting recession, it is the love story of Mohit (Khurrana) and Mayera (Sonam Kapoor), a cute couple who are passionately in love.
When Mohit gets an eagerly awaited promotion, the two naturally decide to take their relationship to the level of marriage.
However, the big stumbling block in their romance is Mayera’s dominating father, VK Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor), who decides to put Mohit under strict probation.
To further complicate matters, Mohit is retrenched and left in a financial mess.
Although the overall look and feel of the movie is stylish and contemporary, the filmmakers cleverly do not allow it to become overly dramatic when the financial crisis begins to interfere with Mohit’s relationship with Mayera and his friends.
The outcome is a movie with a fresh story line that is a pleasant surprise and enjoyable to watch.
Khurrana is in top form and delivers a charismatic performance while making a fantastic pairing with Sonam Kapoor.
The talented actress looks lovely and is convincing as a focused businesswoman.
But the real star of the show is Rishi Kapoor, who balances his role with total class.
The seasoned actor displays a variety of nuances and is outstanding in every scene. A movie like
