Eat, drink & be hairy

Plant Café and Swordfern Emporium launch CBD, Cape Town

-

YOU don’t usually mix hair with food — unless you happen to be the owners of vegan-friendly restaurant Plant Café and beauty salon Swordfern.

At the launch of this unlikely partnership, the vegan posse proved they too just want to have fun. Belly-dancer Tenille Lindeque-Joshua shook her fruits and veggies, hypnotising the crowd, and a tattooist did hand-poked works on a few impulsive guests.

Swarms of Capetonian foodies (including Karen Dudley, owner of renowned Woodstock eatery The Kitchen) came to sample the dishes and peruse the planetfriendly hair products.

The gluten-free brownie balls, which were served for dessert, tasted like you’d abandoned nothing — they were shamelessly sweet and guilt-free. — Sibongile Mafu
