To say that Cornel Strydom is one of our

local queens of cool craft might be an understatement. When Cornel decides to give the Pretoria home she shares with husband Neill, their kids and a menagerie of animals a quick makeover, the next thing we know she has reupholstered furniture, rehung pictures and transformed the space entirely.

I’m really not kidding about that last point. I wrote about her house some years ago and loved it then – but she’s changed it all completely. It’s proof that a good eye and a hands-on approach make the world of difference.
