Seeking girl for studious son

A MOTHER in the UK is seeking a date for her son, who is too busy revising for his exams at Cambridge University to do it himself.

The woman, identified only as Margot, posted an advert for a “blonde, talkative and sincere” woman between 18 and 22 to accompany her son to Cambridge’s May undergraduate ball. It is one of the highlights of the university’s social year and students can let their hair down after end-ofyear exams.

The advert, which has been posted on Gumtree, promises the successful applicant a “wonderful memory” and requests potential dates to send in a profile. The woman said her son was “fully occupied by schoolwork” and too busy to find a girl himself.

“Cambridge is a really hard place to find romance and a date for the May Ball,” said a spokesman for a dating site based at the university, Romance.ucam.org. — © The Daily Telegraph, London
