Zoliswa Pakati June 4 1970 Manaba, 04h00 Sun sign: Gemini Moon sign: Gemini Rising Sign: Taurus Your birthday brings the start of good things. Success is in the air, and you can smell it. The problem is that you doubt yourself — and self-sabotage is the next step. Don’t even think about opening that door. You have a few weeks to refine your plans. Bearing in mind that your attention span is short, give yourself three or four tasks at once. When you are bored, your creative index drops and you might as well go out and buy yourself an ice cream. You’re getting to an age when you need to know who you are, to like yourself that way, and to figure out how to get the best out of yourself once you understand how you work. Your year is an exciting one and it starts soon. Love’s improving too. You know that.

TAURUS (Apr 20 – May 20)

A couple of planets have wandered into new territory, taking you with them. By Tuesday, you’ll be living in a new universe — one of courage, exploration, experimentation and fun. Just move forward. Money gets better and better; love gets weirder, but more interesting. The career takes a turn you’re not sure you want, but will make anyway. Didn’t anyone tell you life was about constant change? Listen up.

GEMINI (May 21 – Jun 20)

The sun moves into your sign early on Wednesday, bringing beams of light to your heart. If you could muster a little patience instead of charging about like a bull elephant, you might manage the mad moments with more style. Life is about to improve. If there are plans to be made, now’s the moment. By Thursday your energy will have returned, and you’ll be ready to make some magic. Don’t waste a drop.

CANCER (Jun 21 – Jul 22)

The planets are telling you to move, so go away somewhere. Even for a weekend. Failing that, change your home so it feels different enough to fool the stars. While you’re at it, make your home as safe as you can. Not that there’s any real danger, but fear attracts bad energy. How about diverting your energy towards the heart? Love improves from Tuesday. Whatever makes you feel good about yourself is the thing to do.

LEO (Jul 23 – Aug 22)

You struggle to get where you’re going, and once you get there, you discover the excitement of conquest is replaced by the sameness of success. So what do you do? You start sabotaging everything that’s good about your life. Once you realise you’re doing this, you’ll grow some sense and stop. Or will you? Remember, happiness can sneak up on you. You could, in short, be happy now. Are you?

VIRGO (Aug 23 – Sept 22)

If all’s going as it should, your career will be going well. Just because it’s not happening precisely according to plan, doesn’t mean it’s not happening. So what’s next? Share your good fortune. Join a charity. Do something you enjoy. When guilt is the only motivation, ulcers are the inevitable result. Try not to fight with anyone. There’s too much electricity in the air for it to be healthy. Smile and walk away.

LIBRA (Sept 23 – Oct 22)

On Tuesday, the energies turn around and charge forward, releasing you from most of the heaviness that has followed you all year. If you’ve survived, and are still smiling, you’re in for an even more fabulous time. If you’ve struggled (which is most likely), you’ll be in much better shape henceforth. Start with one wish. Put it out there — and let it come to you. An excellent week, in short.

SCORPIO (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

The love life has thrown you for a loop but isn’t it wonderful, for a change, to feel out of control? Surrender is the obvious step. Let your emotions and instincts take you where you need to go. So what if the ego must temporarily be swept out of the way. Being right all the time can be tedious, especially when the result is aloneness. Don’t worry about the career. It’ll be back on track before you’ve even noticed it wasn’t.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Who cares about the career when you have a social life they write novels about? The thinking planets have shunted your head into such a different space, you can hardly believe you’re the same person. Don’t make any decisions this week, or even this month. Wait until June. Meanwhile, do your best to hang on to what you have — and relish every moment. There’s fun to be had out there. Don’t miss out on any of it.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Believe it or not, finances are starting to improve. That doesn’t mean that great wads of money will suddenly fall out of the sky. More likely, though, is that you’ll be working harder than ever, moaning about your life of slavery, and silently building up a nest egg. Don’t stop now. You’re finally getting the hang of how this works. Make sure you’re doing what you love, and the rest will take care of itself.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

That hermit routine is wearing thin. Your dreams will collapse in a heap unless you learn to interact with the human race. That doesn’t mean sitting at your computer for hours “chatting” to someone you’ve never met. The universe wants actual human contact. It wants risk and fun and power games and emotional displays. Try it. You can go back to your cave if you hate it. But you have to try really hard first.

PISCES (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

It may be freezing outside but for you it’s spring. Little buds are beginning to peek out at the world as they plan their next move. You’re probably languishing with one of your bouts of flu — always carefully designed by the universe to give you thinking time. You need new plans. Stop thinking about what everyone else needs and wants, and ask those questions of yourself. It takes courage to follow your dreams.

ARIES (Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Trying to do too many things at once? Sure, the timing is bad. But then so is your time management. This is your moment to figure out the difference between stress you can handle and tension that sends you over the edge. Creativity and intelligence are what’s needed. Not endless slog with minimal results. Trouble is, you’ll have to trust yourself. Which means patience is needed. Now there’s a tough one.
