Email: themoment@sundaytimes.co.za My parents, Frank Richter and Marjorie Sampson, married in Grahamstown on May 3 1946. They met in the Air Force, where Frank served as a pilot and Marj served in signals. Frank fought in World War 2 and in the Korean War and then flew for South African Airways. They lived in Pretoria and later Benoni, and then retired to Jeffreys Bay. They had four children, Denise, Gail, Brian and Anne, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The marriage lasted 67 years, until Marj passed away in March 2013. Frank, who turned 92 this month, still lives in Jeffreys Bay and goes to gym five days a week. He loves working in his garden and spending time with friends.
