Different parts that make a great whole

REGIMENTS has three divisions: capital markets, real estate and investments.

Capital markets

This unit uses opportunities in the market to grow the wealth and assets of its clients, ultimately benefiting the country as a whole.

Through the company’s extensive expertise, experience and in-depth knowledge of the public sector, Regiments is well versed in achieving appropriate and effective trading, management and investment for its client partners.

Regiments’ integrated advisory approach focuses on strategy, finance and the research and analysis of transactions.

Debt advisory, quants and risk are also incorporated into this suite of analysis.

Regiments is also the leading asset-liability manager of debt redemption funds in South Africa, delivering bespoke solutions to the public sector to allow for large debt arrangements to be paid on time.

The company currently manages over R3-billion in assets against over R7.8-billion in liabilities.

Regiments also provides an active trading platform, research offerings and structured solutions.

The company focuses specifically on fixed-income trading, interest rate derivatives, equity trading and equity derivatives.

Real Estate

Regiments Real Estate unit arose out of the company’s commitment to addressing the substantial infrastructure challenges facing South Africa and the African continent.

The company assists in optimising property portfolios and raising the finance for the purchases.

Turnkey development services include the assessment of project feasibility, contract management and marketing.

Regiments also sets up and manages property investment funds to assist clients with investments in commercial and retail property.

Investments

Revenue and profit generation have always been central to Regiments’ business model.

This focus on positive cash-flow generation is just one feature of the company that distinguishes it from many BBBEE investment firms that have significant asset value but little liquidity.

With cash on its balance sheet, Regiments can put “skin in the game” on the transactions it advises its client partners to engage in.

While the focus is on strategic, accelerator and opportunistic investments, Regiments also invests small amounts of money and large amounts of intellectual property in several opportunities that will bring about transformation and address socioeconomic issues.
