Blade-fearing Numero Uno opts for Joe Slovo no-show

-

THE commies made a rare appearance in the news this week as they gathered at Avalon Cemetery on Monday in honour of their late boss Joe Slovo. But Hogarth could not help but notice that no alliance leader of significance — from Number One right down to a local ANC councillor — attended the function in honour of a man who had served the ANC and the SACP for over 40 years.

Were Number One and Co maybe scared off from attending by how possessive Blade Nzimande becomes of such events? Remember how the Blunted One threw a fit when he arrived late at a ceremony in memory of another late party boss, Chris Hani, to find Number One already delivering his speech?

“How did you start before my arrival?” he was caught on camera asking ANC functionaries.

Well, to keep peace, it would seem, they have decided to leave him all alone to do his thing.
