Inziles can’t party with exiles

FAR be it from Hogarth to allege that the DA is now the Divided Alliance, but a tale of two December weddings does suggest its own story.

On December 13, DA chief whip John Steenhuisen’s wedding took place at Kamberg in the Drakensberg. Officiating was DA parliamentary leader and preacher man Mmusi Maimane. On December 28, former DA MP Gareth Morgan’s wedding took place at Hout Bay, Cape Town. Officiating was former DA parliamentary leader Lindiwe Mazibuko, taking a break from Harvard.

The Kamberg bash was mostly populated by people in favour with Sister Leader Godzille, also known as the inziles or Inzilles. Some in the Hout Bay crowd were more of the exile — or is it exzille? — persuasion.
