PHUMELELA Gaming & Leisure has appointed Freda Moloi company secretary.
She was previously company secretary at South African Tourism, and before that the company secretary at Absa.
Moloi is an associate member of Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa and a member of the Ethics Institute and the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa.
LEGAL firm Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Lize Louw as a director in the banking and finance team, to focus on local and cross-border energy and infrastructure project finance, asset finance and acquisition finance.
As a director at Werksmans, she was involved in major transactions for several international clients in the South African renewable energy independent power producing procurement programme.
DEIRDRE Olivier has been appointed chair of Fairbridges Attorneys, Africa’s oldest law firm.
She has a BA LLB from the University of Cape Town and has been a board member of the firm since 1997. Olivier heads litigation at the firm specialising in administrative and constitutional law, and is a long-serving member of the management team.
She takes over from Louis Rood, who has served as chair for 10 years.
ENGINEERING and environmental consulting firm Jeffares & Green has appointed Paul Olivier its new MD.
He has been with the firm for 30 years. He has extensive experience in pavement design and materials, the management of pavements on all types of road networks, and performancebased contracts.
Olivier has assisted in several investigations on the premature failure of pavements and has been an expert witness in a number of arbitration cases.
