China no friend to the poor of Africa
HAVING devastated a vibrant economy left by the colonial Smith regime, Robert Mugabe developed the “Look East” policy 10 years ago. Zimbabwe still suffers the ignominy of a collapsed economy with no currency of its own.
Ordinary Africans all over the continent have suffered Chinese exploitative labour practice. Africa does not need another exploitative superpower to rescue it from the quagmire in which it finds itself. It needs to rid itself of corrupt leaders, corruption and wars.
