CELLPHONE company MTN SA has appointed Ideshini Naidoo its chief customer experience officer.

Naidoo has extensive experience in informatio­n systems and total quality management, having headed corporate channels at Barclays Africa bank and been chief informatio­n officer at FNB.

She has a BSc in computer science and mathematic­al statistics, a BSc honours in computer science and a master’s degree in strategic informatio­n technology management.

MTN SA CEO Mteto Nyati said: “Naidoo brings into our customer operations a continuous improvemen­t mind-set.” CORRIE de Bruyn, currently CEO of financial services company PSG Wealth, will join PSG Wealth Pretoria East as a partner on May 1.

After 10 years in various executive roles within PSG Wealth, De Bruyn has decided to return to his roots in direct wealth management.

PSG Wealth Pretoria East is PSG Wealth’s largest advisory office, with assets of just under R18-billion under management.

De Bruyn, a chartered accountant and registered stockbroke­r, previously served for eight years as a director of Advance Wealth Management (which later became part of PSG Wealth), having come up through the company’s ranks. CITY Logistics has appointed Ryan Gaines as its new CEO.

He succeeds Richard Fisher, the founder of the logistics company, who will continue as executive chairman.

Gaines has been part of the City Logistics team for eight years. He started as financial manager, before being promoted to financial director and then MD.

Gaines is an MBA candidate at the Henley Business School in the UK, and holds a qualificat­ion in finance and accounting from the University of Cape Town.

Before taking up a career in logistics, he held positions with CC Africa, ACM Lines and KPMG. FORMER Speedo brand president Stuart Hopwood is to become head of marketing of shoe company Bolton Footwear.

He will be responsibl­e for marketing the brands in the company’s Jordan & Co, Barker and Watson Shoes divisions, and will oversee all marketing for the group.

Hopwood, who holds a diploma in marketing management and is a chartered marketer, said: “I look forward to my new challenge at Bolton Footwear. Together with my team of talented and dynamic individual­s, we aim to build great brands and create a powerhouse of footwear brands for the group — one that inspires consumers to fall in love with our products.”
