THE country was trying to make sense of the public spats among cabinet ministers when the Chief Imbongi of the President Jacob Zuma Defence Squad tried to grab headlines.

Mzwanele Manyi, formerly known as Jimmy, was spotted outside the public protector offices in Pretoria, where he asked Thuli Madonsela to investigate former finance ministers Trevor Manuel and Nhlanhla Nene and incumbent Pravin Gordhan for the alleged mismanagement of Eskom’s finances.
