We the people are tired of Jacob Zuma

ONE does not need a degree in political science to comprehend that the majority of South Africans are tired of President Jacob Zuma’s scandalous leadership style.

Most of us have reached a point at which even hearing his name irritates us.

When is he going to do the right thing and step down?

His stepping down would enable us to start rebuilding South Africa’s badly damaged image on the global front. It would also help Zuma save himself from further embarrassm­ent and never-ending scandals.

Our country is in trouble and heading for anarchy.

The fact that even Jackson Mthembu has spoken out about this issue shows how serious it is. If the ruling party cares for the masses and really wants to save our country from going down the drain, it will do the right thing and urge Zuma to hand over the leadership to the next person. — Mzee Nelson Khumalo, Tembisa THE actions and rhetoric of ANC parliament­arians during the no-confidence debate clearly show whose side they’re on. They have opted to support a weak president over the wellbeing of the citizenry.

They have ignored the groundswel­l of public opinion (among them ANC stalwarts), and would do well to seek employment outside politics before the 2019 elections as they’ll find themselves without a job. They’ll come to regret the day they gave law-abiding people the middle finger by clinging to the coat-tails of an incompeten­t and corrupt leader.
