CONSTRUCTI­ON firm AECOM has appointed Fadzai Nyamasve strategy and growth director for Africa.

She previously served as AECOM’s strategic projects director for buildings and places, and as the client account manager for Transnet.

Nyamasve trained as an electrical engineer. She has degrees in engineerin­g and business management from Murdoch University in Australia. She joined AECOM in 2015. She previously worked for various global multinatio­nal companies, including Bechtel and McConnell Dowell.

ACCENTURE Digital has appointed Wayne Hull as its MD and head for South and sub-Saharan Africa.

Before joining Accenture, Hull was the digital adviser for Sportradar Global. He has held a number of senior positions, including board member and global senior vice-president at AGT Internatio­nal, and director and GM for Cisco in the Middle East and Pakistan. He also headed the technology group and financial services consulting practices at IBM Southern Africa.

Hull returns to South Africa after being at the forefront of technology in the areas of the Internet of Things, data analytics and online media.

TANYA Cohen has been appointed CEO of Business Unity South Africa, for a threeyear term, after a thorough recruitmen­t process.

She has demonstrat­ed her ability to influence pro-business outcomes through her work in Nedlac on a labour relations stability process aimed at addressing prolonged and violent strikes and the successful extension of the employment tax incentive.

“Busa has a pivotal role in ensuring the necessary conditions for inclusive growth by developing consensus around the foundation for employment, poverty alleviatio­n and inequality,” said Busa president Jabu Mabuza.

ORYX Properties, the only Namibian property company listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange, has appointed Carel Fourie CEO.

Fourie, a chartered accountant, has experience in Oryx Properties and the general property industry. He was appointed chief financial officer for Oryx Properties in 2011. In 2014, he took up the position of chief operating officer to help develop the investment strategy and management structure.

Francois Uys, the chairman of Oryx Properties, said: “Oryx is well structured with suitably qualified and experience­d staff, which gives the board the confidence that this is the right way forward.”
